I was once told that my birthday numbers - 9, 19, and 1977 - reveal that my Life Path number is 7, representing analysis, awareness, and understanding. While I'm not entirely sure about all that, I've consistently felt a strong aversion towards even numbers in any form.

My life has been anything but ordinary. I've always been the type to take the road less traveled, which has led to a creative adventure. I made one of my best decisions by attending Brooks Institute in California to study design, photography, and advertising. After graduating, I started my career as a photo stylist in Los Angeles, working at a commercial studio. After a few years, the studio relocated us to New York City. I cherished my time in both these vibrant cities and the lessons they taught me. However, life eventually brought me back to my hometown of Chicago. There, I found my niche as a freelance photo stylist, and over time, I worked my way up to become a photo art director on commercial shoots.

Embracing my tendency to go against the grain has allowed me to grow in a career that has been truly meaningful.  Adding Brand building to Thread Original and creating one-of-a-kind products for companies has been a great creative outlet.

My Mom has always told me that I had my own unique sense of style, and it’s not hard to believe (the second photo proves that).
Honestly, that “out of the box” sense of style, whether it’s clothing, home decor, accessories has stuck with me my whole life.
I went to school at Columbia College in Chicago and received my BFA in photography, but decided that cosmetics retail was my calling.
From there I had the opportunity to work for many gorgeous brands, most recently at Urban Decay Cosmetics for 17 years, from 2006-2023.
Working for Urban Decay Cosmetics in various leadership roles gave me the opportunity to work professionally in an environment that’s edgy, different and where I could be proudly myself. It was here where I experienced what it takes to build a brand, perfect my business acumen, develop my communication skills, learning the importance of putting the client first, and the significance of having the absolute best brand building assets to offer to your team and your clients!
I am excited to co-found this new business endeavor with all the knowledge and experienced I’ve gained in the beauty world. Thread Original would be honored to collaborate with you, bringing exclusivity, value and allure to your brand.
